Vicki & Kyle

Vicki and Kyle both attended JMU and that’s where they met each other and fell in love. Kyle even proposed to Vicki at JMU on the kissing rock. For those of you who went to JMU you know that it is said that when you kiss someone on the kissing rock that is the person you will marry…and that’s exactly what happened for Kyle and Vicki! I have known Vicki for years we actually graduated high school together and she was always such a sweet girl and so gorgeous. I was SO excited when she contacted me because I knew she was going to make an absolutely stunning bride. If you missed her bridal portraits you can check them out HERE.

There were dark clouds on their wedding day and there was that annoying rain that just trickled…but that didn’t matter at all because Kyle and Vicki were just so happy to be married and I loved being able to capture their day! Their colors of course were purple and gold to show their love for JMU with a country DIY theme tied in. They said “I do” in the backyard of Vicki’s parent’s river house. Vicki and Kyle I am so thankful that I was able to be apart of your day and capture all of these memories for you. I am so so happy for you both and wish you all the best! Enjoy my favorites!

Vicki’s Mom handmade this beaded silk belt for Vic’s reception dress and stitched their initials and wedding date on it…how sweet!!

I LOVE ring shots…they’re so much fun and seriously I could shoot Vicki’s ring all day long

One of my favorite Groom’s look yet…love his vest, belt and boots. Kyle you’ve got some style!

Time for their first look!! For those of you who aren’t familiar with first looks…it’s a moment where the bride and groom get to see each other BEFORE the ceremony. Yes, this is untraditional but I LOVE it! As Katelyn says…it’s becoming the new tradition with wedding photography. This was the only time throughout the entire wedding day where Kyle and Vicki actually got to be alone and spend some intimate time together and even better I was there to document all of it! I’m so glad we did this because we got so many amazing portraits out of it and they were able to calm their nerves before the ceremony.

Aww…he was SO happy to see her! I remember Kyle saying at this point I feel so much better now that I got to see you…so sweet!

Vic…you are insanely gorgeous!

Love them!

Ahh! My FAVORTIE!!! This needs to be on a canvas for sure!

Matt was my second shooter for the day and he did an awesome job! He captured this one and I LOVE it!!!

Time to say “I do”…that’s their dog Peridot aka Peri who was in the ceremony of course!

So sweet…even with seeing her before the ceremony he still teared up seeing his bride walk down the aisle

During the ceremony Kyle and Vicki had written letters to each other expressing their feelings as they begin their marriage. They wrote why the fell in love and what they admire about the other person. These letters were sealed before they could be read. These letters are included in the box along with a bottle of wine. They then sealed the box with the letters inside and on their 5th wedding anniversary they will open the box and enjoy their wine as they read their letters…love this idea!!!

YAY! Married!!!

Loved her Grandpa Bud…such a sweet man!

And then Kyle turned back into a frog haha

And I’ll end on another favorite shot from the night!

Congratulations Vicki and Kyle!!!
