Melissa and Chris had a beautiful afternoon spring wedding at The Carillon in Richmond, Virginia. There were so many special moments throughout Melissa and Chris’s wedding day. For all of you Pride and Prejudice fans you’ll see this book incorporated into the detail shots. This is Melissa’s favorite book and Chris used this book to propose to her. He marked the page of the book where Mr. Darcy proposes to Elizabeth with a silk ribbon and on that ribbon was Melissa’s engagement ring. How amazing is that?! I love that we were able to incorporate the exact book into the day. This also tied in to their literary themed wedding which you will see in their decor. Melissa is a big reader and says that “Chris indulges my habit by putting up with my incessant reading and funding my book purchases.” Their table centerpieces for the reception featured books and quotes from Melissa’s favorite love stories. Melissa wore a pearl necklace that belonged to Chris’s great-grandmother and it went perfectly with her gorgeous lace dress and long veil. One of my favorite moments of the day was Chris’s reaction during their first look when he saw Melissa for the first time. This couple is so sweet together and I loved capturing their love on one of their happiest days together. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ringer!
