Lauren and Reid chose to have their wedding at the Virginia War Memorial because both of their fathers are Vietnam Veterans.
Lauren and Reid are both musicians and music is what brought them together as friends and how they fell in love. They recorded a cd together on their home recording software and gave the cd’s out as wedding favors at the wedding. Lauren says that they want to raise children in a home filled with music and laughter, which I just love! I adore this couple so much and their wedding day was so amazing! There were so many details and so much love that went into making their day so special.
I think this ceremony was one of the hottest I’ve shot so far this year but it was totally worth it! Their reception was tented outside and it started to downpour as Lauren and her Dad shared their first dance together. There were thunderstorm and tornado warnings as well…yikes! Just wait until you see the storm shot! Winds started to pick up and very quickly everyone had to rush inside and head down to the basement. They finished out the party strong and their wedding was definitely one no one will ever forget!
Congratulations Lauren and Reid…I’m so glad I was able to be apart of your day and capture all of these memories for you!
